The dark realm
An anomaly on this plane inhibits the transmission of visible light. The plane is not cold because energy is still transferred on other spectrums but the plane is almost always dark or very low light. Even artificial light sources have a reduced effect. The darkness of this plane has made its exploration extremely difficult. As an additional problem, the realm seems to have a high percentage of swamps. In this swamps grows a strange fungus whose spores act as a kind of narcotic that cause temporary memory loss. Affected subjects have great difficulty path finding and soon lose all sense of purpose. There are several known species of luminous plant that grow natively and have symbiotic relationship with a species of luminous but poisonous insect. There have also been reports of predators that have luminous lures. A blind bovine like mammal was also found to graze on the local fauna. Scouts have reported sights of numerous ruins that generate lighting. These ruins may also be the source of the darkness on the realm.
