Wolfa are a breed of war beast created through the domestication of the local cannine by the same name. Wolfa are a very intelligant pack animal that have been used for years by Legion military units as advance scouts, harrasing forces, and full front line units.
On the battlefield well trained Wolfa can be permitted to run on their own, staying with the pack they are smart enough to recognize members of the same tribe verses those of opposing forces. Sometimes they will have a handler with them, but are the most effective when they can travel without the need of a human slowing them down. Lighting fast they can strike without warning, using jaws that contain bone crushing force to shatter the enemy.
Wolfa come in many different forms based on their place of origin, many taking on certain aspects of the region they are native to. Mist Wolfa from the frigid northern territories have thick silvery coats that remain cold even in the warm summer months. Where as Fire Wolfa, traditionally found in the Blood Furnace are charged with Fire Aethers causing them to be warm to the touch and to leave burned marks on the foliage that they walk on.
